I’m moving soon, but I have alot of contacts and info in my Verizon.net e-mail address. Does the e-mail go away after I cancel my service and move? (I checked, they are not in my new area)
Should I begin transferring all my stuff to another account that is not with my DSL? (sorry, but yahoo gets so much junk that it makes it impossible to use it for regular use)
Any other ideas for a permanant e-mail address?

You either need to have DSL or cable internet service. Then, you have 3 options to connect your Wii to the internet:
1) Easiest – hook up a wireless router to your internet service and set up your Wii to connect to the router. No additional Wii accessories because the Wii has a built-in wireless adapter.
2) Buy a Wii USB adapter. Connect this to your computer and your computer will act as the router.
3) Buy a LAN USB adapter. Connect through ethernet cable directly to your modem or router.

You only have Internet on the one where the modem is. You could plug it into any one phone jack in the house, All others have to have the filters.

I just moved into my mothers house and she has verizon dsl and it surfs the web and downloads at dialup speeds…. but the upload speed is just fine.
Its not the computer. Ive connected another computer to the modem to see if that was the problem and the results were the same… Could it be just a problem with my isp or the modem?

its saying that you have to choose a service provider out of Verizon High Speed Internet with Windows Live, Verizon High Speed Internet with AOL, Verizon Yahoo! for DSL. i dont understand, am i going to have to pay extra for that too? or does it come with verizon DSL

But i will not get the connection from the dsl modem it is a Westell 6100. Verizon support tells me that i need to buy there wireless router which i know cannot be the only answer. Please help. thank you.

What do i need? WHat kind of router do i need? I sthe internet connection going to be fast on all three. Do i need a wireless card?

because i have clearwire and its slow so can some one help me plz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have verizon high speed dsl and the online startup disk dosnt give me the option of verizon. How do i get around that

Just this morning I had problems opening yahoo.com Last night everything was fine but all of a sudden I couldn’t download anything nor see any web pages. I use a Westell Wirespeed dsl modem and it seems to work fine. The ethernet, ready, and power lights are all solid green. I called Verizon and reset, rebooted, changed my IP address, DNS numbers, repaired the connection and they could figure out what it was. They said that they were getting a signal from my modem. The problem is that I couldn’t view any web pages or anything to do with online work. I did notice when I checked the status of my connection that the “sent” packets were 1,200 and increasing, yet my “received” packets were only like 30. I suspect that is has to do with my modem or connection simply not being able to receive data, but what could it be? It worked perfectly last night. any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
