I saw this verizon FIOS commercial and they said that their internet is faster than DSL and it doesn’t slow down whe your neighbors are online, so i’m just wondering if that happens to me when my neighbors are online.

We got verizon dsl last wednesday and we couldnt even get it to work right so we cancelled a few days later. Before that we had earthlink dsl and we hadn’t even cancelled that yet when we cancelled verizon so we just left it on there.
Now whenever we go online, we can’t connect to anything. Internet explorer says “Verizon no access” and explains there is probably a billing problem and we cant access it. We called verizon and they told us that since we aren’t a customer any more, it isn’t there problem. We sat on the phone with earthlink for hours but they couldnt fix it.. anyone have a similar problem to this? Do we have any option but calling Dell and paying them tons to come check this out and fix our computer?

Me and a friend that live in the same town both have verizon dsl… but he downloads at 200kb/s and mine go about 70kb/s……

if u work at verizon, than i have a question. here it is: if i dont use the phone jacks in my house for my phones ( i use an outlet instead), then can i still get verizon? in other words, all of the phones in my house are plugged into an outlet and a phone jack. although, my phones dont need the phone jack, so if i just unplugged it from the phone jack, then the phone would be just fine.PLEASE HELP!! if u have any questions then please e-mail me at jrgamer1130@aol.com

I have a toshiba satellite, A55 S306 laptop and verizon DSL but I cannot get a wireless connection. I have to use ethernet cable.

i had verizon dsl and moved to an area where they dont have that. i had to close my account and now i have a free yahoo mail account. i need to know how to switch my verizon mail into my yahoo account. my wife did it to hers, but DUHH she dont remember how she did it…please help me

I was wondering if it’s possible to have a telephone line that is used solely for DSL rather than for actual telephone use. I want DSL and I know that it requires a telephone line, but am curious if there is a lower-cost alternative with companies such as Verizon, etc. I would not use the phone line for any other usage besides DSL. Thanks.

I switched from Verizon DSL last Dec. and IMO this service sucks balls.
My internet and phone constantly go down, I’ve had to call them at least 10 times. My wifes wireless laptop in her studio barely works.
We have been thru 4 wireless routers and had numerous online “help” sessions.
Does anyone else have this problem?

I have verizon dsl with a router that works on main pc. A wireless laptop that also works. I need a scecond pc to get online. it is hardwired to router (under 100ft and cat5e). I get messages” limited or no connectivity to internet”. I can ping the router just not past it. Is there a security code in ther router? Verizons tech are in India and they couldnt get it to work. any suggestions?
