What Do You Use, Verizon Dsl Or Comcast Cable (if You Have Them)?

And why does Verizon always diss Comcast in its commercials, while Comcast just says “better than dsl,” unlike Verizon’s “better than “Comcast”? (why specifically Comcast? Is it their main competitor?)

I use and love Comcast–can’t beat it. Compare:
Comcast at around $50.00/month for 6,200kbps (my location)
    vs.
Verizon at $39.00/month for 1,500kbps (again, where I’m at)

I agree Cable is much faster, I have had both DSL and Cable and really prefer cable to the DSL. It is area dependent though, Where I live its the SBC Yahoo DSL and Cabelynxx, which is through our local cable provider. The ads just show that Comcast is out to compete with anyones version of DSL, and Verizon is just trying to overcome Comcast which they cant do.

Hello I work for Comcast so I can explain the business side of it. Verizon says that they are just better than comcast bcuz they can’t say that they are faster than comcast. DSL is a slower service than cable. Verizon knows that so they poke fun in anyway they can. Comcast says they are better than DSL bcuz technically they are. Here’s another fact too that DSL fails to share. Bcuz it is run through a phone line it is subject to a whole lot of taxes and fees so if they tell you your bill will be like 19.99 after all the taxes and fees it’ll be almost 27.00. Comcast has a .26 tax on their internet here in Seattle. That’s it. Hope this helps!!
